Delete your Momint account

• In the app: Settings > Details > Delete your account.
• Without the app: email privacy@momintapp.com from your account's email address with the subject line "Delete my account".
• Your account is switched off straight away and deleted for good after 14 days. Signing in during those 14 days brings it back.
• Deleting your account doesn't cancel Momint+. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.

1. Open Momint and go to your profile.
2. Tap the ⋯ button at the top right to open your settings, then tap Details.
3. Tap Delete your account, type DELETE, and confirm.

Email privacy@momintapp.com from the email address you sign in to Momint with, with the subject line "Delete my account". Add your username if you know it.

We'll confirm it's you, usually by asking you to confirm from that address or by sending a one-time code to it. Then we delete the account in the same way as the in-app option.

• Straight away: you're signed out, and your account is hidden from other people.
• For 14 days: you can change your mind. Sign in again and everything comes back as it was.
• After 14 days: your account and your data are deleted for good. This can't be undone.

• Your account, profile, settings, and your friends and followers.
• Your photos, videos, memories and posts, files and all. A photo of yours also comes off any post someone else made with it.
• Your comments and your hangout chat messages.
• The hangouts you host, and their chats, for everyone. Photos other people added to those hangouts' shared memories stay with them.
• Your Momint+ and gift records, your advertising consent answer, your yearly recaps, and the record of which versions of our Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted.

• Reports you made, or that were made about you, and the evidence kept with them: 12 months from the report or our decision on it, with your name removed. A report that is still open, or under a legal hold, is kept until it closes or the hold ends.
• Resized copies of your photos in our image cache: up to 30 days after the photos are deleted, reachable only through a link handed out before then.
• Backups: a copy in a system backup is removed when that backup is replaced in the normal cycle. Backups are never used to bring a deleted account back.
• Payments: Apple and Google keep their own payment and tax records under their own terms, which we can't delete.
• Copies other people saved: photos someone downloaded to their own phone before your account was deleted are theirs to keep, and we can't reach them.
• We may keep some data longer if the law requires it, or if it's needed for a legal claim or to protect someone's safety. An account under a legal hold is not deleted until the hold ends.

You don't have to delete your account to remove things. In the app:

For anything else, email privacy@momintapp.com with the subject line "Privacy request" and tell us what you'd like deleted. You can download a copy of your data first: tap the ⋯ button on your profile, then Details > Download your data.
